We are Dymla!

Dymla‘s story began in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2014. David was working for the UN as a civil servant and Karin as a medical doctor at the local hospital. They could both see that air pollution and different viruses and bacteria had devastating complications for the youngest and most vulnerable members of the population.

Two years later in Sweden, their 3-month old son Henry contracted RSV requiring hospitalization. A complication from Henry’s RSV infection is that even now at three years of age, he still struggles with recurrent wheezing that is triggered by infections.

As a medical doctor, Karin’s ambition has always been to serve children and help guide them towards safe and healthy lives. This has taken Karin to many different countries around the world. When Henry got sick, Karin – being a mother of two – realized the problems she traveled far and wide to solve could occur in her own home environment.

Since then, Karin and David have worked tirelessly together with other institutions, medical doctors, engineers and researchers in the field of air pollution and health to develop the best possible health care products for young children.
